Create Sparklines, Bullet Graphs and Bar Graphs with SparkCode Professional v2.0, an Add-in for Excel
ConnectCode is proud to announce the release of SparkCode Professional v2.0 for creating Sparklines - data-intense, design simple and word-sized graphics - in Microsoft Excel. SparkCode creates charts and graphs by using specially designed fonts to represent them. This presents a very elegant way of embedding tiny charts within paragraphs of text. Building on the existing engine that already supports Sparklines, the new version of SparkCode Professional supports Bullet Graphs and Bar Graphs.
Bullet Graph is a recent invention by Stephen Few. It uses a linear and no-frills design to display data in a small space. It is useful for comparing performance at different points in time. Bar Graphs on the other hand, uses rectangular bars that are proportional to a percentage value. It is useful for visualizing and comparing numbers.
Sparkline is invented by Edward Tufte and is very useful when creating Dashboards in Excel for visualizing trends and comparing vast quantities of data.
