Ceramacast 675-N New High Temp Thermally Conductive Potting Compound Now Available

Valley Cottage, NY - August 1, 2008

SUMMARY

Ceramacast(TM) 675-N, a new high temperature, thermally conductive, aluminum nitride filled ceramic potting compound developed by Aremco Products, Inc., is now used to dissipate heat from high power resistors, increase the thermal output of cartridge heaters, and improve the response time in temperature sensors.

FEATURES

Ceramacast(TM) 675-N is a fine-grain, aluminum nitride filled, thermally conductive compound ideal for potting high temperature electrical components such as cartridge heaters, high power resistors, thermocouples, and resistance temperature detectors.

Material properties include a temperature resistance of 2500°F (1371°C), thermal conductivity on the order of 100 W/m-K, dielectric strength of 300 volts/mil, volume resistivity of 1013 ohm-cm at room temperature, compressive strength of 2,000 psi, and good chemical and moisture resistance.

Ceramacast(TM) 675-N is supplied in powder form and is mixed in a ratio of 100 parts powder to 16-18 parts water by weight. It is easily metered thru pressurized dispensing equipment and sets fully at room temperature in 16 hours or cured at 200 °F in 2-4 hours. Cured material exhibits a porosity of less than 3% and an extremely low
shrink rate of less than 0.3% at 1000 ºF.

Ceramacast(TM) 675-N is available from stock in quart, gallon and five gallon containers. Please contact Aremco's Technical Sales Engineering Depar(TM)ent for more information about this advanced material.
