Hard/Soft Cable Connections offer high strain/bend relief.

August 4, 2008 - Reducing stress and strain from electrical conductors' termination points, hard/soft strain relief is engineered with anti-twist function as well as elimination of pistoning action of conductors inside cable jacket at termination point of assembly. It meets or exceeds straight pull test of its corresponding cable and connected assembly. Weighted 180° tick-tock flex tension testing achieves 750,000 cycles. Unit can be produced in PVC (and its alloys), polyurethane, and TPR.

C&M's Hard/Soft Cable Connections Offer High Strain/Bend Relief

WAUREGAN, CT. July 22, 2008...C&M engineers have designed a hard/soft strain relief that eliminates all stress and strain from the electrical conductors' termination points.

This new design is engineered with an anti-twist function as well as the elimination of the pistoning action of conductors inside the cable jacket at the termination point of an assembly.

The hard/soft strain relief is designed to meet or exceed the straight pull test of
its corresponding cable and connected assembly. The weighted 180° tick-tock flex tension testing has successfully achieved 750,000 cycles.

Through in-house molding technology capabilities, C&M matches the contours of the assembly attachment area, making the interface both secure and esthetically pleasing. The unique strain relief can be produced in PVC (and its alloys), polyurethane, TPR, and other materials as well.

C&M Corporation is a vertically integrated manufacturer of custom cable, coil cords and cable assemblies. A worldwide, RoHS compliant manufacturer of advanced power and signal transmission cable solutions within the industrial, medical, military/public safety, datacom/telecom, and multimedia industries.
