Protective Caps seal M8 threaded connectors to IP67.

August 28, 2007 - Suited for use in factory automation and process control applications, Series M8 protective caps feature PA (polyamide) body, PUR (polyurethane) retaining strap, and nitrile rubber (NBR) seal. Caps for use on cable plugs include retaining ring which allows cap to be fixed onto cable. When caps are correctly applied to unmated connectors, they ensure that connectors are waterproof to 1 m depth for 30 minute time period.

Protective Caps Seal M8 Threaded Connectors to IP67

Camarillo, CA - Binder-USA is proud to announce the addition of M8 protective caps to their 718 and 768 series M8 connector product line. The protective caps, when applied to unmated connectors, ensure a protection rating of IP67. These caps are ideal for use in factory automation and process control applications.

Protective caps feature a PA (polyamide) body, PUR (polyurethane) retaining strap, and a nitrile rubber (NBR) seal - a common material used for o-rings. Caps for use on cable plugs feature a retaining ring which allows the cap to be easily fixed onto a cable. When caps are correctly mated to a connector, they ensure a protection rating of IP67 which means the connectors are waterproof to a 1-meter depth for a 30-minute time period.
