New One-Piece Shaft Collar Holds Reels & Tools Secure

Aston, PA, April 2007 - Amacoil/Uhing has introduced the U-Clip shaft collar, a one-piece slide on shaft collar that locks in place when released. In machinery or for static applications, affordable quick release U-Clip collars hold reels and tools in place whether on hardened or non-hardened shafts.

U-Clip collars are hand installed; no tools are needed. A spring loaded release plate permits easy slide on/off action. U-Clip collars have a holding force of 55 to 80 pounds depending on the U-Clip size. The device locks in place when released and with a light pull on the release plate the U-Clip slides off. Six sizes are available for metric (mm) shaft diameters: 10, 12, 15, 16, 20 and 22. English sizes are available only in large quantities.

Amacoil is Uhing Company's North American distributor handling sales, service and parts for Uhing U-Clip, rolling ring linear drives and timing belt drives.
