January 23, 2002 - M-2 high speed steel core pins are available in every decimal dia from 0.010 to 0.505 in. in 0.001 in. increments, with 0.0002 in. or 0.0003 in. dia tolerances. Double-tempered to Rc 60-63, pins are wear-resistant and permit close spacing without modification. They are available in 2, 2 1/2, 3, 4, 6 and 8 in. lengths and are suited for glass-filled applications.

M-2 High Speed Steel Core Pins Stocked In 0.001" Increments And 500 Diameters
A full line of precision form ground M-2 high speed steel core pins that are double-tempered to Rc 60-63 and are stocked in 0.001" increments is available from Royal Diversified Products, Inc. of Warren, Rhode Island.
Royal M-2 Core Pins are offered in every decimal diameter from 0.010" to 0.505" in 0.001" increments, with 0.0002" or 0.0003" dia. tolerances, and eliminate the need to grind down fractional bodies for a precise fit. Double-tempered to Rc 60-63, these wear-resistant core pins have smaller head diameters to permit close spacing without modification.
Allowing moldmakers to jig-grind holes and then order a standard diameter from over 500 sizes to achieve a precision fit, instead of requiring a special design, Royal M-2 Core Pins are available from stock in standard 2", 2 1/2", 3", 4", 6", and 8" lengths. They are ideally suited for glass-filled applications.
