Solderless Filter Connectors are RoHS-compliant.

April 1, 2008 - Capable of providing low pass filtering and effective insertion loss without use of soldered components, Solderless Filter Connector series uses contact clip to make connection from signal/power contact to capacitor array. Grounding of capacitor to connector body (shell) is achieved via grounding spring, and filtered connectors meet electrical and filtering performance of soldered type filter connectors. Seal allows for water wash immersion of connector in unmated condition.

Sabritec Offers RoHS Compliant Solderless Filter Connectors

Smiths Interconnect, part of the global technology company Smiths Group, today announces that one of its businesses Sabritec has developed a new series of filtered connectors that are capable of providing exceptional "low pass" filtering and effective insertion loss without use of soldered components.

Sabritec's solderless filter connector series uses a specially designed contact clip to make the connection from the signal/power contact to the capacitor array. The grounding of the capacitor to the connector body (shell) is achieved by use of a grounding spring. These connectors meet the same stringent electrical and filtering performance of soldered type filter connectors. A uniquely designed seal allows for water wash immersion of the connector in the unmated condition.

Benefits of Solderless Filter Technology

· RoHS Compliant

· No Solder design (not potted)

· Reworkable filter module assembly

· Modular construction

· Reduced lead time
