Pemserter® QX™ Turret Tool System Enables Quick Installation of Different Fastener Types
The new PEMSERTER® QX™ Turret Tool System engineered for use with the PEMSERTER Series 2000® automatic fastener-feeding press can quickly and efficiently alternate between anvil tools to install a variety of fasteners in a single workpiece without tooling changeovers.
The QX System includes four anvil tools that can be manually rotated quickly into position. One is dedicated to the automated feed tooling for the highest-volume fastener installation, while the others can be used to install up to three different products manually. Color-coded parts trays and anvils make it easy for a single operator to install up to four different fasteners while handling the workpiece only once.
Simplified setup and verification of installation is achieved by the system utilizing the standard touch-screen feature in Series 2000 presses. The system further detects which station is in the “install” position and prevents operators from proceeding unless the correct station is locked in position. This serves to maintain and confirm proper sequence for fastener installation as programmed. Multiple jobs can be saved for future quick setups.
The Series 2000 press is equipped with interrelated software operating features and is CE certified to comply with applicable European standards. Specs include a 24”/61cm throat depth, performs at cycle rates ranging from 2,750 strokes/hour to 3,600 strokes/hour, and delivers a ram force of 400 lbs. to 16,000 lbs./2.7 to 71.2 kN.
