New Solis™ Faucet From Sloan Valve Company Offers Advanced Solar Technology, European Styling

FRANKLIN PARK, IL - Sloan Valve Company adds to its family of conservation solutions with the new Solis(tm), an electronic, solar-powered faucet that operates via ambient lighting. Designed with sleek European styling and the benefits of convenient touch-free electronics, Solis provides an alternative for architects, engineers, contractors and building owners and assists in their energy and water conservation goals.

The Solis faucet incorporates the latest advancements in solar-powered technology and leading-edge electronics to conserve water and energy. Its integrated power plant storage cell transforms light from any source into electrical energy. Batteries provide back-up energy and can last up to 10 years.

This single-hole faucet comes standard with integral temperature control, a 0.5 gpm aerator to regulate water flow and an electronic sensor for "hands free" operation that turns water on and off automatically. The Solis has no moving parts in the waterway, which contributes to its virtually maintenance-free operation. In addition, the sleek, new faucet design comes in a durable chrome finish. Optional trim plates are available.

Sustainable water strategies continue to emerge in building designs, and global demand for energy-efficient and water-conserving products has increased. The Solis faucet, the newest addition to Sloan's Water Conservation Division, helps meet this demand.
