July 12, 2004 - Housed in 4.5 x 8.5 x 1.7 in. package, medical-grade SMM200 delivers up to 175/200 W of total power, depending on output voltage/current combinations and options. It features active power factor correction and operates on 85–264 Vac. Hi-Rel switcher also provides auxiliary outputs with voltages from 5–24 V as well as overload, over-voltage, and thermal protection. It includes built-in Class B EMI filter and has 0 to 70°C operating temperature range.

Power-Factor-Corrected, 200 Watt SMM200 Features High Current Auxiliary Outputs

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. – June 28, 2004 - Conversion Devices, Inc. a merchant supplier of medical grade power supply products has announced the introduction of its SMM200 medical grade switching power supply. This is the latest addition to its ever-expanding Eagle Series line of catalog medical products. The compact 4.5”W x 8.5”L x 1.7H” power supply delivers up to 175/200 Watts of total power dependent on output voltage/current combinations and options. It features active power factor correction to minimize input harmonic distortion. The SMM200 operates on wide global input mains of 85-264VAC. The PS deliver its full rated output of 200W with optional fan cover assembly. or 150 LFM of system provided. This Hi-Rel switcher is ideally suited for a wide variety of medical applications including: medical diagnostic devices, patient monitors, ophthalmic surgical equipment, and respiratory systems where reliable power is critical.

Only 1.7 inches high, the SMM200 has a compact footprint of only 4.5 inches wide by 8.5 inches long. The unit also features high current auxiliary outputs with voltages from 5V to 24V as well as overload, over-voltage and thermal protection.

It includes a built-in Class B EMI filter, power fail, DC good, remote sense, and remote inhibit. The new SMM200 model has an operating temperature range of zero to 50°C without derating and can function up to 70°C by derating the output 2.5 percent per degree C. It meets IEC 601-1-2 for EMC and IEC 1000-4-2, level 3 for ESD.

The SMM200 complies with worldwide medical safety and performance standards from UL, CSA, and TUV.
