Streamlight Introduces New 2-Cell Lithium 3-Watt Luxeon® Task-Light
High-Performance Flashlight Offers Forty Times the Brightness of a Typical LED
Eagleville, PA Â Officials at Streamlight, Inc., a manufacturer of high performance flashlights for industrial applications, have introduced the newest member of the Task-Light family of lights, the 2-Cell Lithium Luxeon Task-Light. This new light features Streamlight's first 3-watt Luxeon LED making the 2-Cell Lithium Luxeon Task-Light forty times brighter than a traditional LED flashlight.
According to Vice President of Sales and Marketing Walter Kaihatu, this new light's cutting-edge technology is the perfect compliment to the durability and versatility of the Task-Light family. "The 2-Cell Lithium Luxeon Task-Light employs the latest Luxeon technology, which offers the long life and reliability of an LED with the brightness and range of a conventional bulb," said Kaihatu.
Extremely durable, this impact and water resistant task light is ideal for industrial environments. It features a knurled barrel for improved grip; and the light's 50,000 hour, super-high flux, three-watt LED provides 80 lumens of power, which is 40 times brighter than a standard high-intensity LED.
"The 2-Cell Lithium Luxeon Task-Light has two digitally-controlled brightness levels, offering industrial professional the choice of working with either a brighter light or an increased battery life. Choosing between 100% and 25% power, the user can opt for high-intensity brightness or extremely long runtime," commented Kaihatu. At 100% power, the light can run for up to 3 hours; however, using only 25% power increases the runtime to 11.5 hours.
Made of anodized machined aircraft aluminum the 2-Cell Lithium Luxeon Task-Light weighs 5.75 ounces (with batteries) and measures 6.15 inches. It uses a push button switch for operation, and features a DC-DC converter, which adjusts to voltage changes on the supply side to ensure a constant light output for the entire battery life.
Running on two lithium batteries (included in packaging), the 2-Cell Lithium Luxeon Task-Light retails for $114.95 and is available with a limited lifetime warranty (excluding the batteries).
