SiO2™ Coaxial Cable Assemblies now Available from Times Microwave Systems
Times Microwave Systems SiO2™ Silicon Dioxide coaxial cable assemblies meet the requirements of some of the most demanding microwave interconnect applications in aircraft, space, shipboard, ground based systems as well as other hostile environments.
SiO2™ is ideally suited to applications requiring low loss, unmatched phase stability and low phase hysteresis over extremes of temperature and pressure. Hermetically sealed intermediate sections are laser welded to the cable allowing the use of the full range Times Miltech® connectors including self-locking, Multiport™, Minimultiport™, Blind Mate™, Zero DB™ and equalizer products.
Non-replaceable connectors are also available. All connectors include a crack-free, fired glass dielectric seal and are attached to the cable via state-of-the-art laser welding.
Times Microwave Systems, a Smiths Interconnect company, is the leader in the design and manufacture of coaxial cables for RF and microwave applications.
About Times Microwave Systems
Times Microwave Systems (TMS) was founded in 1948 and became part of Smiths Interconnect division in 1990. It has over 50 years experience in designing innovative, high-reliability, coaxial cables and assemblies for demanding interconnection problems. An engineering oriented organisation, the company specialises in the design and manufacture of high performance flexible and semi-rigid coaxial cable, connectors, and cable assemblies for RF transmission from HF through Microwave frequencies.
Unlike other cable manufacturers with limited product lines, who try to fit customer applications to their existing products, the philosophy of TMS is to select or design the right product for the application, resulting in an optimal and cost effective solution.
