Vaughan Steel-Capped Titanium Hammer Adds Magnetic Nail Holding Option
HEBRON, IL - Vaughan & Bushnell's recently introduced Ti-Tech™ titanium hammer with interchangeable steel striking caps now offers another option - a cap with Vaughan's patented Head Start® magnetic nail-holding notch.
The new feature is expected to provide even greater flexibility by providing the user with the choice of caps of milled or smooth striking faces and with the Head Start® nail-holding notch, designed for one-handed nail starts.
The ergonomically designed Ti-Tech™ combines the lightness of titanium with the toughness of steel by fitting interchangeable steel striking caps onto the titanium head. The forged steel caps provide the option of three hammer types: a milled or smooth-finished striking surface, and a milled face with the patented Head Start® nail-holding notch.
The forged steel caps attach to the titanium head with a free-floating pin that absorbs shock on impact, along with an anti-vibration pad within the cap. All caps provide an over-sized striking surface to help prevent missed strikes and bent nails.
With the option of interchangeable caps, the Ti-Tech™ also becomes a multi-tasking hammer with ability to easily switch from rough framing to finished carpentry.
Weighing 16-ounces, the Ti-Tech™ is almost a half pound lighter than similar models. Its available in both hickory or fiberglass handles with a choice of milled or smooth striking caps and the milled cap with the exclusive Head Start® magnetic nail holder for increased reach.
